Here is an initial list of Righteous deeds/Good deeds which are known as Amala asaalihaat in arabic.

This is my compilation and by no means it is exhaustive.

I am including it here so that it can be used as a ready reference for you in your day-to-day activities.

Rule of the thumb : Try to do atleast one good deed a day.

• Read Quran

• Tell the truth

• Give charity

• Speak softly

• No harm to others

• No back biting/Vain talk

• No hard feelings/hatred towards others

• Voluntary fasts

• Visiting sick

• Uphold ties of kinship

• Attend Janazah/Funeral prayer

• Pray in congregation

• Tasbih in market or while driving

• Do not ask for favour

• Meet with happy face

• Thank Allah and people

• Moving obstacles from path

• Darood

• Greet others (Assalaam alaikum/Wa alaikum assalaam)

• Plant trees
